learning

Anonymous alligator hanging out at Audubon swamp, Charleston.

Today I met with a really cool fellow jewelry designer and it was great because I was able to get fresh ideas about the jewelry business. I think we talked non-stop! I got to see her cute studio and just absorb all the feelings of creativity. Sometimes jewelry design can be a very lonely craft so it's important to meet with others even for a day.

always Bea remembered

Yesterday I heard about the passing of Bea Arthur. I was sad to hear about the news, but I'm glad that she passed away with her family at her side. I hope that was a comfort to her in her final moments. She was an inspiration to me because I respected her acting abilities and faithfully watched her almost daily. I really enjoy the show "Golden Girls" maybe because they are comfortable and familiar, like having your cute grandma there to nurture your soul on a daily basis. For me, that's inspiration to keep a smile on my face and have the courage to keep movin'! Thank you for being a friend Bea!

people were really friendly at the game last night. they were also very complimentary about my jewelry. that was nice to hear. I did have a few say that they didn't have cash for buying, but i am planning on selling on Amazon soon. So that might help people be able to make a purchase in the future. details to come soon!

for show, for show!

i'm getting things ready for my show this evening at the Charleston Battery game. It's "Go Green Night" so of course I'm participating. I hope all goes well and that good times are had by all. We invited a couple of people to come to the game with us. Unfortunately, as much as I want to personally watch the game I can't because I will be tending to my booth. Oh well, it's not really work. Gotta run!
